PowerEQ brings the one-click broadcast-voice engine of EQ Studio to Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Premiere Pro: play a few seconds, press Analyze, and your dialogue is cleaned, EQ-matched, leveled and loudness-targeted in real time. Also runs in Logic and any VST3/AU host.

Plugin or app? You do not need both. PowerEQ is the plugin: it runs inside Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and Logic, cleaning your dialogue right on the timeline while you edit. ⚡️EQ Studio is a separate standalone app for working on audio files outside an editor, and it adds batch processing, stronger AI cleanup, delivery loudness checks and multichannel support. Both run the same engine and sound identical, so pick the one that matches where you work. Buy the other later only if you actually need what it adds.
See & hear it
The problem
You can hear that something is off. Naming it, finding the right knobs and matching it across a whole timeline is a mixing engineer's afternoon, not an editor's.
PowerEQ levels and loudness-targets every clip to one broadcast standard, so cuts stop jumping out at the listener.
The adaptive EQ hears what your mic and room actually did and draws the correction for it, band by band, with a de-esser that only works when the S does.
Play a few seconds and press one button. Every knob above gets set for you, and you can still open the hood and disagree.
Why PowerEQ
The engine that powers EQ Studio, now as a VST3/AU on your channel strip, processed in real time alongside the rest of your mix.
Play a few seconds, press Analyze: it detects the voice, learns the noise, measures loudness and shapes 14 EQ bands to a broadcast curve.
Tell it what you recorded with: studio mic, lav, action cam, phone. And it biases cleanup, tone and room control to match.
A realtime frequency display, output peak meters and a live LUFS readout: watch your dialogue sit exactly on target.
Quiet lines come up, loud lines come down, automatically, toward the loudness target you pick (−16 LUFS for podcasts, −14 for YouTube), with a limiter so nothing ever clips. The modern answer to Levelator, live on your timeline.
Spectral De-Reverb, noise cleanup, de-esser, breath & pop control, dynamic EQ, preamp character (tube / tape / transformer), doubler and more.
Built and tested in DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro, with constant latency so your dialogue never drifts out of sync.
Verified bit-for-bit against EQ Studio's DSP. Save your own presets, including the analysis, and reuse them across Resolve, Premiere and beyond.
Presets
Clean, transparent polish: a balanced starting point.
Bright, present and forward for talking-head video.
Warm, intimate and even, easy on the ears for long-form.
Big, bold low end with broadcast punch and density.
Refined, full-range studio vocal character.
Deep, larger-than-life voice with its own analysis target.
Compatibility
PowerEQ's automatic dialogue leveler brings every quiet and loud line to the same loudness, right on your dialogue track: pick a target, press play, done. For the classic drop-files-in workflow, EQ Studio batch-levels whole folders and writes a loudness report.
EQ Studio brings the same engine to a one-window Mac app: drag in audio or video, batch and match multiple clips, and add AI noise cleanup.
PowerEQ comes up when people look for a Mac alternative to these, or a replacement for the discontinued Accusonus ERA bundle. Here's how it fits:
Love Auphonic's automatic leveling but want it local? PowerEQ levels, EQs and cleans in real time on your timeline: no upload, no subscription, one-time license.
RX is the deep-repair suite for disaster audio. PowerEQ covers the everyday dialogue chain: leveling, EQ, de-ess, de-hum, de-click. Automatically, in one plugin.
Enhance Speech processes in the cloud. PowerEQ runs privately on your Mac, in real time, with controls you can actually adjust when the one-size result isn't right.
Studio Sound lives inside Descript. PowerEQ brings one-click voice polish to the editors you already cut in: DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro.
Rather than a suite of separate single-purpose plugins, PowerEQ analyzes your clip once and applies leveling, EQ and cleanup together, tuned to your mic.
Broadcast is Windows-only and built for live streams. On a Mac, PowerEQ cleans and levels recorded dialogue right inside your edit.

Need to uninstall? There are two products and each has its own uninstaller. PowerEQ Uninstaller is for the current plugin (installed with a package; works in Final Cut, Resolve and Premiere). ⚡️EQ Legacy Uninstaller is for the original ⚡️EQ app for Final Cut Pro (an app named PowerEQ in your Applications folder). Not sure which you have? Here is how to tell.
